She went on to complete a Residency at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. After Cook County, Dr. Taylor joined the United States Navy. She was a Commissioned Officer and served for four years in the Naval Dental Corps. One tour during Desert Storm. Once separating from the Navy, she joined the National Health Service Corps, a Federal Government Loan Re-Payment Program and was assigned to work in South Bend, IN, with the indigent and the underserved community.
