Trumpet Newsmagazine Mission

Trumpet Newsmagazine is committed to honoring African roots and traditions, giving voice to the deepening faith, and serving the ethnic diversity in the global community. By highlighting journalistic issues that impact, address, and speak to shared human experienceTs and beliefs in a racially oppressive society, Trumpet Newsmagazine is designed to Educate, Nurture, and Empower.

Trumpet Newsmagazine Vision

Trumpet Newsmagazine, now an online organ that seeks to educate, nurture, and empower, will do just that in ways never imagined by the founder over 30 years ago. Realizing we must first know who we are in order to care about issues that impact, address, and speak to shared human experiences and beliefs in a racially oppressive society, we envision further developing young lives to involve themselves in the struggle for social justice.

Through interactive classroom curriculum for students, pre-school through post-graduate,Trumpet is the tool that will connect the dots from whence we’ve come to what we have yet to be. With Early Childhood African curriculum based classes teaching who we are as Africans in the Diaspora, we will begin to develop a generation who has their history believe in developing our youth, we are confident this will promote self-love that nurtures the soul and empowers young children to strive for excellence in all they do. Likewise, youth will be able to learn African and African American history not taught in elementary or high school. We are seeking donors and sponsors to support this vision, thus, making this method of interactive learning free to all youth.

Engaging those who have missed, or were not afforded, other opportunities to receive their high school diploma, we will offer online GED classes and assist with completion of each adult student’s passing the test to receive their GED.

We will also offer online classes for undergraduate and college credit, in the areas of African History, African/African American History, History of African Music in the Bible, Prophetic Proclamation, History of African Religions, and much more. Further enhancing the courses will be the added value of personal one-on-one interviews with experts in the respective fields of religion, music, social justice, and more.

We are involving our youth NOW, as we seek to build an engine that motivates them to become active in their own development based on their interests.

Trumpet Newsmagazine, more than words and pictures, is an online lifestyle magazine for the socially conscious that brings life to words through interactive learning!
